This site is created by me, Shane Fowke, and is my personal website. I'm startin to dig my way into the web, and decided to make this site to showcase, or dump my works. Stuff I learn I'll put on here, and maybe people can learn from me, who knows, I'm just here for the ride. Hey hey, hows it going out there. Well, I've finally been doing some websites for people. I am currently doing 4 sites, and I'll put them in the portfolio area soon. I am doing a couple for free to help out people, you know, cause I'm a nice guy and all. If you need help, let me know, and maybe I'll be able to help you, and maybe it will be free also. I am also finally this site live so I have something for people to come to. Its definitely a work in progress still, but it always will be. I'm hoping to get alot done and maybe get this party started. But anyways, just letting you know I'm actually doing something. heh.
Ok so I made a blog. I was originally just going to have this front page as my blog. Then I figured it would be a good idea to have a seperate blog. So this area will be for updates that I have made to the site. Which is basically none ever becuase, well, I dont know why. I loev web design, but sometimes I just cant get into it. And sometimes when I do I spend all my time on a different project or just learning stuff. I really need to start putting some more effort into this site and get it going because I think it could be fun. Anyways, we'll see how things go. Check out my blog over at my blog. I guess I'll work on my site now, well after I watch this snowboarding video.
So I was going to make my site in wordpress. I customized the theme, and made it all work how I wanted. The problem arouse when trying to add html, and other code to the posts. Wordpress automatically formatted the code and would completely mess it up. I tried a few options, but with the new version I couldn't seem to get it to work with all tags and code. So I decided to do this the old fashion way and just manual code each page and have some includes. The extra work will help me get better and have more experience anyways.
I finally fixed all my bugs with editing and shit for the site. I am going to be working on getting more content onto the site now. I added some links to the links section, but that is just a start. I’ve got a lot of work to do.
I decided to have a random fact, joke, tip, etc. section on the site. So I put one on the left hand side there. I even made a little quote box and stuff for it. Sweet, I know. All I gotta do now is fill that thing up with a bunch of interesting jokes and facts.
The site’s layout is finally starting to come together. I have been working pretty hard to find a layout I am happy with. I’m not sure if this is the one I’m going to keep or not yet, but we will see. Once I get a little content on here I can have some people take a look and let me know. Feels good to finally get rolling on this site.
